There are so many fantastic chipboard die cut embellishment available at the moment. The great thing is, being raw, you can alter them to suit your LO perfectly! Here is a quick step by step to show how to add some bling to your chipboard - with out going overboard!
Doodlebug have an awesome range of very fine glitter - Sugar coated that is easy to use and gives that extra sparkle to your chipboard. You can apply it with all your regular adhesives but I found you can sprinkle it straight onto wet paint and it adheres perfectly!
Step 1 : Give a coat of paint to your raw chipboard diecut.
Step 2: Lightly sprinkle the SugarCoated glitter onto the paint while it is still wet. Remember to have a piece of paper or a plastic plate underneath and shake off excess glitter.
Step 3: Allow paint to thoroughly dry.
Step 4: Give the chipboard one last shake to get rid of any excess glitter and then glue to your layout!
The same technique can be used with Doodlebug Flocking powders....I used Dimensional Magic to adhere my flocking powders, but there are various other adhesives created specifically for flocking powders! Scraploot even have fabulous double sided adhesive shapes and alphas to make it even easier!
Step 1 : Paint or cover your chipboard.
Step 2: Cover in adhesive.Step 3 : Cover in the flocking powder.
Step 4: Carefully shake of excess and allow to dry.
Step 5 : Adhere to your layout!
* You can alter all manner of embellishments, chipboard shapes, flowers, alphas - it's endless!*
